Yes, even Mexicans will warn you, but it’s always been fine.

I have heard so many stories about driving in Mexico that I’ve avoided that option, though I’ve got many friends who drive there regularly from Arizona down to Rocky Point and places further south.

It was a rough three years, though things are finally returning to a sense of normal. I am writing this from the 16th deck on the NCL Escape, on our way to Caribbean ports for 7 days. Sea day today.

Great photos. The photos of Cabo San Lucas brought back a lot of memories. I missed you there by a few months (but ours was a road trip).

I can tell you about Argentina, Mexico and the U.S. Argentina closed everything completely and they still couldn’t stop the spread. Mexico was the most respectful country. Everyone wore their face masks without complaining. NYC was tough at the beginning but they got it under control (pretty much) after that. And Texas was less crazy than I was expecting. I saw plenty of people with face masks in the supermarket and other places.

Some people seem to be really affected by this symptom. I’m glad I didn’t see it, for sure. I do understand the latest variant isn’t exhibiting that characteristic as much.

I didn’t lose my sense of taste or smell, but Covid messed with them. Things tasted a bit different.
Looking back, I’d noticed an unusual smell seemed to permeate our condo prior to any other symptoms. When I could also smell it in our garage, and inside the car, and outside when I roll the windows down, I didn’t know what it was.
Now that I’m much better, I still occasionally notice that smell, but it’s not nearly as strong.
