In reply to Josh.It does need the snow to really make the image pop. The one I took in early November was OK, but there was no doubt the snow made the photo.

In reply to Trail Walker.In November, I captured a shot of the trees just after they lit them up. I planned to post that shot closer to Christmas. The early morning snowfall put snow on the roof which was missing from my November shot. That blue reflection from the roof added so much to the image, I scrapped the original without snow.
