We were indeed lucky to have such a beautiful day. We only spent one day in the park, so I guess you could say that we hit the weather lottery. 🙂

We spent a night at Paradise on our trip, which was a July one. The first day was glorious 😀 We saw Christine Falls as we entered the park but spent most of the day doing a couple of short trails at Paradise itself, with wonderful views of the mountain. The next day we planned to cover Reflection Lakes, Sunbeam Creek and that area on our drive out of the park but we awoke to thick fog and almost no visibility as you’ll have seen on my post https://www.toonsarah-travels.blog/what-a-difference-a-day-makes/. I’ll link to this one so people can see the view at Reflection Lakes as it can be in clear weather. But we were grateful we’d had that one good day as we heard about people who spent a whole week there and never saw the mountain!!

This was our first visit to Mt Rainier. The park is far more beautiful than I expected.
