Last evening, my wife and I went to an oldies concert. On the long wait out of the parking area as several thousand people were leaving, I noticed the “super moon” brightly shining through only a bit of haze from the fires out west. This would be my best shot at getting a clean image of the moon, even though it isn’t quite in “full moon” status anymore.

I don’t usually post a Monochrome Monday pic, but this one seemed a natural. I put my tripod close beside the car to help shield the setup from the light to moderate breeze. I carry one of those small LED light key rings. They give off just enough light to see camera settings yet protect your eyes from losing their night vision like some of the more powerful flashlights.
