Weekly Photo Challenge – Alphabet

Fargo, North Dakota.

This week, Michelle W. suggests that we focus our lenses on the alphabet in whatever context strikes our fancy.  You can read the entire challenge post here. The challenge response came immediately to mind. One day while wandering through the crafts department of the local discount store, I happened to notice the big letters display had been rearranged.

I pulled out my cellphone and grabbed a quick photo of the rearrangement. As I snapped the shot, I noticed a couple of pre-teens peering at me from around the corner of a shelf display. In an instant, it all became clear to me. These two girls rearranged the display and were watching from a distance to see the reaction of people who notice the arrangement. I looked over at them and smiled, they quickly ducked behind the display rack and I moved on. Later, I noticed they were still there, watching for people to walk by and notice their special rearrangement. I discovered for the first time that it is possible to buy “POOP” at the discount store.
