In this week’s photo challenge, Anne McCarthy asks us to show us what One Love means to us. She goes on to point out the entry from the Urban Dictionary that defines the concept. “One love refers to the universal love and respect expressed by all people for all people, regardless of race, creed, or color.” You can view the entire challenge post and see Anne’s examples here.
This challenge was pretty hard for me to find a suitable image. Generally, my subjects tend to be landscapes or wildlife. In fact, I often go out of my way to avoid having people in my photos. I immediately thought of the photo I shared just last week, in the challenge called “Harmony“.
Scanning through the folders containing my library of images, I remembered one of my favorite shots of a beach on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. At Ne’e Beach, with the Na Pali coast as a backdrop, a couple walks along the beach. For the purposes of this challenge, I will make the assumption that they are each the One Love they have both been waiting for.

That’s actually a really nice take on the theme “… they are each the one love “

🙂 I like that assumption John! And hope you’re right. Lovely photo.
That works.
