It’s been a month since I’ve shared a “dronie” photo. I haven’t had much of a chance to take photos from the aerial platform. With a trip to Winnipeg and another to Baltimore in the last few weeks, I’ve barely had time to only complete some proficiency flights as a remote pilot. I hope to change that in the next few weeks. In the meantime, I felt it’s time to share another image captured from one of my first attempts at using the remote photo software built into the DJI Go4 application I use to operate the Mavic Air.
About the photo: This image is a panorama built from three still shots captured as the “golden hour” was in full display. For the technical types, the Mavic Air has a fixed F/2.8 lens and variable ISO and shutter speeds. I always leave the ISO set at 100 for minimum noise pickup on the small camera sensor. That allows me little variance for exposure. The source collection of images were captured at 1/390 sec. The three images are RAW files in DNG format, merged with Adobe Lightroom and further processing with Luminar Flex. In most browsers, you can click on the image to enlarge it for a better view.

The plain states are not without a certain flat beauty… Sometimes I miss seeing sunsets as we can see them through the trees. The weather makes it so worth it though.
I saw some photos today that really focused on the flatness of the prairie!
Oops, once again I realize I should edit before I post… I meant can’t see them through the trees.
Thought maybe you were commenting on the sun filtered through the trees which has its own beauty.
