This week, Nancy Thanki asks us to share an image that features a surprising shine. “Has something bright or reflective caught your eye in the moment?” You can read the entire challenge post here.  On a dreary, rainy day my wife, Lynn, and I visited the McBryde Botanical Gardens while we were visiting friends in Hawaii. Even though it was gray and a light rain was falling, the plant’s shine in the image above caught my eye as I walked by. A second example, shown below, also brightly reflected light off the wet surface of the plant.
