Cellpic Sunday – 7 April 2019

Buckeye, Arizona.

This week’s Cellpic Sunday was borrowed from this week’s Travel Tuesday post. That’s why it may look familiar to regular readers. I’ve been less likely to take my camera on hikes, especially more strenuous ones as it’s another piece of expensive stuff I have to hang onto and be careful I don’t damage should I fall. That cell phone sits in my front pocket, only a few moments from being able to grab and take an image. I can’t get those great shots of wildlife “up close” like I can with my telephoto zoom on my Nikon, but I’ve found the quality of landscape shots to be more than adequate for reproduction and sharing.

About the photo: On one of my more challenging hikes, we trekked to the end of Valley Vista Trail, high on a peak in the White Tank mountains in Skyline Park about two miles north of our house. For that climb, we were rewarded with beautiful views of Buckeye Valley. This view looking west. The image was captured with my Samsung S7 and processed using Lightroom and Luminar 2018. In most browsers, you can select the image to enlarge it for a better view.
