Another thing I am curious about is why Gene and Ernie chose the 11/16 scale. It must have something to do with the availability of things that are hard to make, like maybe the tires. Any info?
I remember a conversation with Gene regarding scale. Using that scale made it easiest to integrate the operating components, if I recall correctly.
