San Antonio, Texas.
On this Veteran’s Day, I remember veterans of a war of independence in the expansion of the United States. It was the war of Independence for Texas and the volunteers who fought and died at the Alamo. The Cellpic above is from the River Walk, a relatively recent and very popular attraction in San Antonio. The above cellpic is previously unpublished but the one below of the Alamo was published here on October 15, 2017 as a Cellpic Sunday post.
On your daily tasks today, thank a veteran for all they’ve put on the line for you… and if you are a veteran, I can’t thank you enough for your service!

Good pics! Totally want to check out the river walk in San Antonio someday, when travel permits.
Thanks! It’s a great walk along the river… but take the cruise as well. It’s not expensive and you get a tour guide to give you a ‘play by play’ of all the historic sites.
Beautiful, John, and a timely post! Thanks.
Thanks! San Antonio brought me to thinking more about that war for independence. Though there were no veterans of the Alamo battle on the Texas side, there were certainly veterans of that war.
