Cellpic Sunday – 10 July 2016

Nashville, Tennessee.

The home of country music became our home for the evening as we travelled through Tennessee. Of course, we had to stop and walk along Broadway where all the honky tonks are located. No cover charge, walk in, enjoy some music, have a beer or a bite to eat and move on to the honky tonk next door. Lots of talented musicians play the bars there in hopes of being the next Garth Brooks or Keith Urban.

We had a great time and we were ready to head back to our hotel. Standing at a taxi parking spot waiting for a cab, I felt a single drop of rain. Then another, and another. We quickly ducked in the doorway of the nearest bar when the skies opened up. We decided to have one more beer and wait out the storm. Twenty minutes later, it was all but done, and we were back outside under light sprinkles waiting to hail a cab.

About the photo: From the doorway of a honky tonk, I captured the lights of Broadway Street honky tonks during the flash rain shower. Taken and edited on a Samsung S7 cellphone. The rule for Cellpic Sunday is simple. The image must be captured and edited on a mobile device.
