Early Friday morning, I boarded an aircraft for a flight from Montgomery Alabama to DFW, Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas on my way back home to Fargo.
We left before sunrise and I settled back for a quick nap. I’m not sure how long I was napping, but I opened my eyes, looked out the window and saw the sunrise light streaming into the aircraft. Looking both above and below, I came to the realization that we were flying between to solid cloud layers, a sunrise sandwich, as it were.
About the photo: I would have loved to know the exact location of this photo, but since the phone was in Airplane mode, the GPS function was shut off. Being between the cloud layers, the Samsung S7 cellphone camera was set to low light. f/1.7, 1/12 sec. ISO-200. I’m actually surprised that the slow shutter speed didn’t blur the image any. The rule for Cellpic Sunday is simple, the image must be captured and edited on a mobile device.

It is such an amazing view:) You never know what views will await you once you get above that layer of clouds.
Indeed! Thanks for stopping by and following!
Those beautiful sunrise/sets from the confines of a plane are seldom seen, and even more seldom photographed, well played!
Awesome….I just love those sunset and sunrise photos!!
