This week, Ben Huberman asks us to show us our impressions of texture, specifically, his term is “dense.” He comments, ‘… you could focus on a natural landscape… or take the theme in a different direction.’ You can read the entire challenge post here. This small gallery of three images features natural and man-made density. For example, in the opening shot above, the marina at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is densely populated with watercraft, as you might expect. You can find a gallery of images from Cabo here captured during our visit there awhile back.
Every autumn, the skies of Albuquerque are filled with balloons. On our visit to the annual Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, over 550 balloons took to the sky en masse. Released in waves, the balloons rose skyward in a slow motion ballet of color. Our visit was amazing and we may just return again in 2017. You can view the gallery of images captured on our last trip here.
My final example of dense population is a sight seen regularly at Bosque Del Apache in New Mexico. This avian refuge is populated in the thousands especially during migration seasons. Known best for sandhill cranes and snow geese, large populations of waterfowl also spend time there. You can revisit our latest trip to the Bosque here.
