This week we are challenged to present an entry that shows a photo that is not what it seems to be. I really had trouble with this challenge, because, of course, all of my photos are what they seem to be… well, maybe not… Click here to view this week’s challenge description.
The photo above came from my historical archive. It shows an aviator about to depart good ol’ terra firma on an early model Wright Flyer. I believe this photograph was taken sometime in 1903, shortly after the Wright Brothers’ first flight.
Oops, wait a minute… I was confused. This is not an early photograph after all. It’s a photograph of my friend, Walt, attempting to fly in a Wright Flyer simulator. The photograph was taken in 2003 at the centennial anniversary of powered flight at the EAA AirVenture held annually at Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Sorry for the confusion…

I’ll bet you’re sorry! Hahaha 🙂 Nice job. Cute description. 🙂
As for me, this theme was a bit of a challenge, but you’re welcome to come and see my take on the matter. 🙂

Thanks! I enjoy trying to “twist” the challenge a bit.
A ‘twist’ adds a bit of spice to one’s life, I think. We could probably use a few more twists, and I don’t mean a twist of lemon. 🙂
