Buenos Dias from Mexico.
This week, Jen H. challenges us to demonstrate examples using the rule of thirds. As the rule is one of my favorite tricks, I have lots of examples to choose from. You can read the entire challenge post here. In the example above, the wildflower stands out from the blurred background nicely.
My wife, Lynn, and I are just concluding a week in Mazatlan. This is the first time I have tried a post entry using only my iPad, as I preferred leaving my laptop at home so we could travel lightly.
The cattle egret is set off from the background, but in this example, I chose not to defocus the background. In my final example of the set, a cardinal eyes me cautiously as I capture his image from a respectable distance.

These were all taken using your iPad? Stunning.
Sorry, I misrepresented and wasn’t clear in my post. The photos were all taken using my Nikon, but the images were transferred to my iPad where they were integrated into my post using the WordPress app for iPad.
Don’t be sorry. And it works!
First 2 photographs are the best example of the Rule of thirds. Thanks for sharing beautiful photos !
Thanks. I appreciate your comment!
