Cellpic Sunday 13 September 2015

Rollag, Minnesota

Taken with my Samsung S6 cell phone, this image depicts an early 20th century threshing operation. Straight out of the camera, with the exception of tagging the watermark. On the left, a team of 10 horses turn a wheel that provides the energy required to turn the power takeoff unit which, in turn rotates a pulley that moves the large belt attached to the threshing machine on the right. The image below is a view from the other side of the threshing machine. These photos were taken at the 2015 Western Minnesota Steam Thresher’s Reunion. I will have a gallery of images from the event in a future Travel Tuesday post.

The photo above was not taken with my cell phone, but is included here to show a different view of the threshing process.

The rule for Cellpic Sunday is that the image must be captured and edited with a mobile device.
