Morning on the Red River of the North. Sunrise and sunset are a photographer’s favorite times. As I am not always an early riser, my portfolio features far more sunsets than sunrises. Here is one of my favorite exceptions, taken at 5:13 AM in September 2015.
For the photographers, this image was captured with a Nikon D7000. f/14 1/80 sec. ISO-100 Tamron 16-300 mm @ 16 mm. -2,0,+2 exposures merged via Lightroom’s HDR function.

Of all places to catch sunrise pictures on the Red River, that dip in Elm Street between 12th and 15th Avenues North provides both access and natural beauty well within Fargo city limits.
