Cellpic Sunday – 14 April 2019

Buckeye, Arizona.

It isn’t every day that we get to ride in a classic car like this 1927 Chevrolet. One of our occasional pastimes here in Buckeye is to visit some of the newer real estate developments to check out the newest designed homes being built. We are realistic at this point in our retirement, we aren’t going to make any rash decisions on a new house purchase. We’re quite comfortable where we are in our winter home, but it’s nice to see the new technology and view interesting accessories that might be something we could add to our existing home.

A couple of years ago, we stopped at one of the open houses and found this beautifully restored 1927 Chevrolet touring car parked out front. As it turned out, one of the representatives used it during their grand opening to take people from the office area to the location of specific models that customers wish to view. What a trip. I was more interested in the car than I was in the house we went to visit.

About the photo: I captured this image on my Samsung S7 as the car sat in front of their office. I loaded it into Lightroom for initial tweaks and then brought it into Aurora 2019 looking to find a more vintage tone to the image. The rule for Cellpic Sunday is simple. The image must be captured on a mobile device. In most browsers, you can click on the image to enlarge it for a better view.

  1. What a pleasure to get to ride in such a ride… Never had the pleasure. All the character of a horse carriage without the inherent mess. Haha
