Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.
This week we are headed for our annual trip to Arizona for the winter. Now, we aren’t going to find much water in Arizona, but we are looking forward to a unique (for us) family gathering. We are going on a family cruise in January. As luck would have it, our Eastern Caribbean itinerary was hit hard by this year’s hurricane season. Every port on our route has been closed since Hurricane Maria this fall. The least damaged port on our schedule opened earlier this week at Grand Turk. Our other stops at Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands are scheduled to be open by our date of sail, or so says Carnival.
About the photo: I happened to step out on deck after dinner on our Panama Canal cruise a few years ago and saw the remaining light of the golden hour. Another cruise ship, lights aglow, sailed in the distance on the same track as our ship. We would eventually tie up in Puerta Vallarta side by side the next day.
