Whidbey Island, Washington.
Between the mainland and Whidbey Island, there is a narrow strip of water that separates Puget Sound from Possession Sound. There is a ferry that travels that passage with terminals at Clinton and Mukilteo. On a cloudy morning, we found ourselves on that ferry. It was the first time I’ve ever been on a “drive-on” ferry. I found the entire process interesting.
About the photo: This view is looking toward Puget Sound. The other ferry going in the opposite direction is visible in the distance on the left. Captured with my Samsung S20U I’d put in 16×9 format, the original image is 4000×2252 pixels. As usual, I did basic edits in Adobe Lightroom and used Luminar 4’s AI tools to bring out the detail in the sky and water. As usual, if your browser supports the function, click on the image for a larger view.

There is a beautiful texture of water and sky that seems abnormally low as if it were to crash into the strait.
The clouds were extremely low, and I didn’t notice how much they were reflected in the water until I started processing the image.
Pretty spectacular John!
Thank you!
