This week’s photo challenge asks us to relate two images as if they could speak to each other in a form of dialogue. From the challenge post, “When it comes to photography, dialogue can be perceived as a consensual interaction between two images… Placed next to each other, each photograph opens up to meanings that weren’t there when viewed alone.” You can view the current challenge post here.
The two photos I chose to relate involve one of my favorite pastimes, hiking. I chose the two photos because together they tell a stronger story than either single photo. The dusty landscape of the trail reflects the beauty found in the Sonoran Desert. By the time the hiker’s boots have reached the end of the trail, they carry along some of the dust and reflect the work accomplished in completing the hike.
This week’s challenge entry is somewhat tardy due to a week of travelling. In the next few weeks, I will share some of the adventures of our past week.
