Weekly Photo Challenge – Tiny

Along the road to Wickenburg, Arizona.

This week, Cheri Lucas rowlands asks us to appreciate the tiny things in life. “Capture something at a smaller scale…” You can read the entire challenge post here. Check out the gallery to see how small jets can really be. Look! Up in the sky, it’s a tiny private jet coming in for a landing. Private jets are tiny compared to their airline brethren. They hold a crew of one to three, and a small space for passengers, maybe 10 or 12 in larger private jets, two to six in the really tiny.

Here’s a shot of that private jet being marshalled into the ramp area. Why look! That private jet is really tiny. It’s an RC model, not a full size private jet at all. In February 2012, some friends invited me to a small model airfield where RC pilots were showing off their jet models. All of the images in the gallery below feature jet powered models. There wasn’t a propeller in sight there all day. Click on an image below to enlarge it and to scroll through the gallery.
