But I Digress… An Anniversary and a Preview

Today’s digression is written to note the third anniversary of Journeys with Johnbo. A couple of days ago, I got a note from WordPress that my account was opened on March 16, 2013. It took me two days to learn enough about WordPress to put together my first blog post and for the first time, click on the “Publish” button.

Three years ago today, that post hit the Internet, and I started getting feedback from WordPress that people were actually viewing my page. That was the easy part. In that post, I volunteered to share my journeys with a mostly unknown audience. Now I would have to make good on my retirement pledge to travel and further to document those travels with photographs.

Three years later, my wife and I have visited some beautiful and wonderful places and I have shared most of those journeys with my readers, which now amounts to over 400 subscribers. This year I opened a Twitter account, @photobyjohnbo, and now have over 200 followers, along with many friends and family who spend time with me and Lynn on Facebook.

To mark the occasion, I thought I would share some images that will be featured in the coming weeks. These are stories, some not yet written, some awaiting scheduled publication. Some only existing in photo form, no story yet documented. Thanks for sharing our journey.

    • Thanks! A chance conversation introduced us to Arizona, Stephen. We discovered the beauty of a state we never considered would be much more than my imagined lifeless desert. How wrong I was, and how happy I am for that chance conversation.

    • Technically, the anniversary of first publication is tomorrow. When I finished this blog post, I accidentally hit “Publish” before scheduling it to publish tomorrow around midnight, my usual trick. Oops… oh well. Thanks for the best wishes!
